I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Spy Shots: 2008 Veyron Roadster
Here is a peak at the Veyron Roadster. We’re not sure if its a real shot or a photoshop. Obviously the drop top will reduce the performance of the Veyron Targa which is capable of top speeds of 217 mph. Bugatti, which not many know is owned by Volkswagen, has not yet released any official detail on a Veyton Roadster, nonetheless have a look and drool! Read Article

German owned but Italian designed I believe so it's still very much Italian. It's just not funded by Italian money. However something does not look right with this Roadster in my eyes. I prefer the coupe version. It's lost the elegance that the coupe had. For the hefty price tag I rather get more metal. If i wanted a roadster I would go for a Zonda or something. Just my two cents.

For some odd reason, I can't start drooling over this car. It doesn't have the sex appeal that a Ferrari or Lambo does (hell, the Enzo looks like a anteater.) The Veyron looks very asexual, very antiseptic. It lacks those curves and or muscular haunches like the 360 Modena or F430 or the Jag XJR-15. The haunches on the Veyron just look like "wheel arches". I don't know, maybe I'm too jaded? Does anybody else feel the same?

To set the record straight:

Bugatti was a French company to begin with!

In the 90s and the era of the EB110 however it was headquarted in Italy where the cars were produced.

Now, it is owned by Volkswagen and has its HQ and factory in France (although much of the engineering of the Veyron was done in Germany and the French HQ still has to answer to Wolfsburg)

It was not designed by an Italian design house, the Veyron was designed in house at VW

It is not built by a British firm, only the special DSG gearbox is (built by Ricardo i believe) the rest of the car was designed, engineered by VW and is built in a state-of-the-art, VW run factory in Molsheim, France.
