Spy Shots: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V not to get 600hp
Despite wild claims stating that the next Cadillac CTS-V will get a 600 horsepower engine found in the Corvette Z07, sources are telling our friends, CarMagazine, that the next generation CTS-V will get the 7.0 liter smallblock all-alloy V8 found under the Corvette Z06’s bonnet.
Anyway the next-generation Cadillac CTS-V is going under some final high-performance testing before GM unveils it at the Detroit Auto Show in January of 2008. The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V will arrive just in time to compete with the Audi RS6, which is set to make its debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show this September. It will also beat the next-generation BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG to the market...

I do because it will offer better value than the Lexus IS and it will help the North-American Auto industry instead of our economic adversaries. The CTS has RWD with LSD which is what I am looking for if I don't get the AWD version. Lexus IS also offers RWD with LSD but only in the more expensive 350 Sport version of the IS. I don't like the way the fake wood trim wraps around the top sides of the center console in the IS.

I think you are in a world all by yourself! Toyota or Lexus makes nothing I will spend my money on! The CTS and CTS-V are hot compared to the oh so Blah IS!

Lexus does not sell billions of cars get your information straight. Millions would disagree with you and buy a German luxury car. Much of hollywood own Cadillac Escalades instead of LX460's. Why? best excuse would be because they are snob and want the flash? Please. For example on the show newly wed's Nick and Jessica, I didn't see one Lexus. However on the same note Jessica's sister Ashley was driving an SC430. I believe if she had more money she would have bought something else. The SC430 is an ugly car but I did like the interior. They need a major change in styling.
Cadillac is the true American Luxury Brand, not Lexus(since they were introduced in USA) I believe eco-luxury is what Cadillac and Lexus are about. Their prices are cheaper than it's rivals and people who have owned Cadillacs before may have switched over to Lexus.
sorry to bomb on Lexus but they are in a different tier in a world wide scale. In the US they may sell more but doesn't mean they are better. Just easier to afford and good bang for buck. It doesn't mean luxury is any better or quality is any better. Reliability may be but it depends on the driver and depends on the batch. You can't possibly say no Lexus has ever been bad. There are many and I hear that from the shop owners and friends who have dealerships. No brand is perfect.

You've certainly compiled many useful infomation from what Nick,Ashley and Jessica drive but who give a damn if Jesus, Mary and Joseph drove.
I'm just replying it w/a sarcastic remark because he wrote,"You are in the world all by yourself if you buy a Toyota/Lexus", which is a stupid remark so I cameback with another Stupid remark..this is all stupid.

It was obvious it wasnt going to get the 600hp, but it doesnt matter, because nobody cares about it.
and FYI, CTS-V competes with a kia rio and hyundai accent. as far as interior and performance goes.
