Spy Shots:2010 Ford Taurus SHO spotted without camo!

com, we now have more evidence than ever that the SHO will rise again. These spy shots show a pair of serious looking Taurus sedans snapped along the I-75 corridor in Michigan (the greenish grass and lack of snow suggest they weren't taken recently). These two sedans are different from the Limited and SES models we saw at the Detroit Auto Show last week, wearing new wheels (at least 19 or 20 inches in diameter), a decklid spoiler, different tail-lights and a new rear bumper that extends lower over a pair of dual tail-pipes. There's also a conspicuous looking badge on the rear end that's covered with camo tape. What could it be? Who knows for SHO?

Got that right. If only Chrysler would produce the 200C with a standard Gas engine and GM would keep updating the Malibu (make Navigation available, direct inject all engines) then Americans would be stupid to buy Camry/Accord. Unfortunately, Accord is a damn good car.... as much as I hate it, competition leads to better products.... (what I hate is that the competition has to be foreign tho!!).

Honda is foreign when the net profit goes back to Japan wake up buddy only a few Honda/Toyota plants are in the US they still import well over half their cars from Japan.

The argument that the transplant Japanese/Koreans make "American" cars is just BS that the anit-Detroit crowd rants about just to discredit Detroit. Honda also has factories in China, England and Canada. Does that make Honda Chinese/English/Canadian? Where do you draw the line? GM has factories in China/Korea/Mexico/Canada/etc? Does that mean GM is Chinese/Korean/Mexican/Canadian? I'll give you an answer, no.

I like the details but the car looks like it is fat and overweight. In other words the high beltline looks bad.

The car is disgusting looking. The beltline is way too high. And what about that 2-story ass end? Could the designers have made it appear any taller? This new Taurus is competing squarely with the Acura TL for who took the hardest beating with the ugly stick.

The beltline is too high but it still looks excellent. It has an air of substance and true style that the old Taurus/500 really lacked. Probably the best US market Ford of the twenty-first century, aside from the GT of course.

Everybody steals designs, from time to time. Audi (then DKW) made a dead ringer for a 55 t bird in the sixties. Toyota totally ripped of the Volvo 1800ES (corolla liftback) in the 80s. Cadillac ripped off Rolls with the first Seville, and the first Lexus cars were such flagrant copies of the E class that you could confuse them in a parking lot, from the rear.

Audi is probably the current style leader........ But there are lots of good looking cars out there.

I say Ford's gotta bring that output up closer to 400 if not that. The SHO has historically never had an engine shared with any other Ford product. Sticking to that formula would yield some very good results. Lose the fender vents unless they actually do vent away heat from the engine bay, or a means for cool air to flow through the intercoolers.

Those front lights definitely do look like the TL's. The rear is ugly like all of Ford's American models. And it looks like a blimp.

So you know all of the financial inner workings of Honda? Going with your simple minded thinking, Brazil should be anti GM considering how many Chevys are sold there with all of the net profits going back to America. Every large automaker has a global presence and runs the company accordingly.
