that thing looks ugly, what happend inside around the instruments, looks like one big ventilation.

I like the back, the front is ok.
The one thing I have never likes about SAAB is their interiors. This one leaves me feeling the same. That vent thing in the dash looks like it would be a dust collector.

I like it, it's not the same cookie-cutter designs of the other makes. Saabs used to be different, then GM made them look all the same, this is a start of something better. Interior needs some work.

Reminds me a little of the last generation Mazda 929.

Exterior front is great. The rest is OK.
I like the interior. I loved and owned a couple 80's 900 turbo's and a 9000 viggen. Since then the cars were not inspiring, lacked character, and fell behind on performance. This is a step in the right direction I think. Not sure if its enough. It will need the new X 4 wheel drive and at least 350 HP.

I think it looks pretty sophisticated - surprised that it's actually a revolutionary design inside and out.

It seems to me that they're finally approaching their jet heritage. In one of the leaked photos, the center console seemed to have carbon fiber trim. ...and those airvents that used to look crappy... well, crappy no more.

Now my two and a half cents. Overall the design isn't as striking as I was thinking compared to the concept Aero X. I would have bet the farm SAAB would have incorporated the interior features such as seating surfaces, instrument gauges, even the armrest with mouse type Nav interface. The side mirrors on the Aero X were incredible along with the overall flowing body form. It isn't easy to translate the design of the Aero X into production let alone add some of the language into a sedan, but it is SAAB's battle to loose, I would have gone balls out with a extremely striking design. Though nice this one is, it will be lost in the sea of Audi A6's and 5 Series models. The Aero X and Air BioHybrid Concept added something to SAAB that was missing: emotion and style / panache we see in production items like the ipods and Titanium laptops by Apple. it seemed like SAAB design language exhibited through the companies concepts were going in that direction. The interior isn't nothing I would expect from a car that has been in gestation this long.

I can see SAAB's attenpt at returning to the classic look. Notice the line that sweeps upwards from the C-pillar to the A-pillar? That's classic 900 right there baby. The nose however needs to go. Chrome around headlamps is so frigging 70s. I hate cars from that era. SAAB will however ruin all the advertisement campaigns by showing the car next to fighter planes, and say some crap about their "jet heritage". Somebody needs to remind the ad companies that the Swedish government has prevented SAAB from selling their fighters outside Sweden. And the only aircraft that SAAB hs ever exported are propeller driven. And the ones that most Americans (and other westerners) have ever seen are the also-ran SF340 flown by the likes of Northwest Airlink (Pinnacle) back in the day. We all know how we feel when we get to the airport and we are stepping up the door-stairs to the narrow, low-roofed cabins...And SAAB wants people to get comfortable with their cars with this on our minds? Come now...

Man,they messed up. The shape of the car reminds me of an old Altima. The dash just screams old.The last 9-5 was may more attractive.

Phew! The Saab 9-5.

The only car that forced people to grow "grey hair" waiting for the new model launch.

I've waited this long, so I'll wait a bit longer to make my comments at the official launch.

Now where is that '04 "vintage wine" I kept in the cellar?
