nah, no way! That's something that would go quite well with the Lexus pebble beach addition :)

I cannot wait to see the final finished product. All these camo spy shots and covered interior photos have built the anticipation for the real deal.

In my opinion, this is the biggest unveiling for any car this summer.

755i on 07/07. Can't come soon enough!!

This sounds like it will be the most technologically advanced car ever produced. Wow. It will probably be the new class-leader.

Will it be available with AWD at launch? A 750xi would be nice.

I remember reading the AWD 755xi will debut a year after the RWD.

Thank God there's another new BMW product intro that we can look forward to. I have felt a huge void in my life since being double-teamed with the X6 intro (what was that, like, 9 months long?) and the 1 series intro (seriously, about 5 months long?) from the fall into the late spring.

I have missed the gushy BMW PR flacks spinning endlessly with new abbreviations. Let's have a contest...what new acronym / abbreviation will be appended to the new 7-series...how about 'SLUT' - sports luxury utility tourer ? With an appropriate acronym, the 755 i L X can assume its rightful place alongside the X6 SAC and the X5 SAV.

Any other guesses about the acronym?

Sorry..I may have gotten the name wrong. Under the new nomenclature it may be...

755 i L 50xdrive

Some state's DMV's may have to program additional fields into their car registration software.

I love BMW, but as is i just do not see this being as elegant and luxurious looking as the S-class. Obviously renderings and spy shots don't give an exact account of how it will turn out, but it's not looking amazing. hopefully it will look a whole lot better once it's unveiled.

Hey nice Lexus LS, opp! my bad it the new 7 Series, what deal with the Lexus LS exhaust, and quad exahaus? Sound like a Lexus IS-F design cube to me.

I guess BMW is now copying designing ideas from Lexus, it actually look pretty good.

Lexus

Looking forward to seeing this without all the camo! I think it is going to look awesome! And we'll probably be able to see where the new 5-series will be going as well!

And I think that TT V12 will be awesome!

Is it just me... or does ut look a little bit downmarket from the current 7 Series (intentionally of course) to make room for their new flagship 8 series based off of the concept CS. It wouldnt be a bad idea.

It just you. The car is still covered in camo, but hey, go ahead and judge it anyway.

Good luck, BMW. Let's not have a repeat of the 2002 Geneva disaster. Just six and a half short years ago, BMW unveiled the current genertion 7 to the virtually universal "two thumbs down" from journalists and the public in what is now known as the Bangle Era.

We know BMW can do beautiful. We just hope they do it again. Soon!

^except that a lot of people bought the latest 7-Series, so I think a better way to put it is that it's been polarizing at a minimum - not universally disliked.

Can't tell with all the camo, but it doesn't look like it will have quite the presence of the current model, certainly not like that of the current S-Class. The S really regained it's mojo with the current model. I still think the A8 looks the best.

The biggest problem I have with this new 7 is the front end - not so much the large kidney grilles, but the way the cut of the hood is inches above the grille, meaning that the portion of the body around the grill is probably plastic.
