Can't wait to see what this will look like. Hopefully it will be sleeker than the 2002 e65.

It certainly looks like it from this picture, but let's be honest here.

The E65 is one of the most bloated/bulbous looking land-whales on the road today, so I can't imagine anything not being an improvement in the 'sleekness' department.

I just hope that BMW soon abandons that drowsy-looking, Chrysler LeBaron circa 1977, turn-signals over the head-light look.

I Hate It!

I don't even undestand why BMW are redesigning the 7-Series since it has one of the best looking bodies of any car out there.

In fact, I have a neighbor around the block that purchased a new BMW 7-Series last month.

You actually think the 7-series is good-looking??? No way. I tried to like, but I just couldn't get pass the styling.

Yea Right... I guess it is beautiful if Very, Very Full Figures is your thing.

I, personally, prefer a much sleeker/refined appearance in my vehicles, over BMW's current Platypus with Wheels!

Everyone said the same thing about the outgoing 740iL when is was replaced by this generation 7 in 2002 in the US. The 745Li completely polarized both the press and the BMW loyal. You either loved it or hated it. Most seemed to hate it at launch time. With a few years of marination and a slight update in exterior trim, the critics have piped down in recent years. Some have even grown to like it. When a replacement finally arrives for the current 750Li, I'm sure it will once again become controversial, Bangle will make sure of that.

I find it interesting though that BMW was once considered a very conservative company. BMW forced their owners to accept a completely new style, many rather reluctantly. Over the years, this current generation has sort of morphed into what is now considered conservative again. The car didn't change that much, but the people did.

As in fashion, there are many imitators in the auto industry. No matter where you look, you can find stolen or "borrowed" if you will, design cues from the BMW 7. The Asian sector can't seem to keep their hands off it. What used to be considered unique and innovative has now become rather common place. It'll be interesting to see what Bangle comes up with next!

No, it looks like the current 7 Series. The GS came out after, and Lexus has blatantly copied BMW's Hoffmeister kink... as has Infiniti.

I agree, this revision does have a very GS look to its profile.

As if that integrated exhaust type has never been on any other car? It was on the VW Phaeton, and it's on the A8L W12. It is also on the BMW X5 4.8i.

Current 7 Series is a great design that has influenced the industry. Next one may not shock the traditionist as much, but should be beautiful.

I can't believe BMW. What the hell is their design team thinking (or not thinking in this case)? They finally have a new 7-Series generation to exercise the ugly demons of the current 7-Series and it looks like they are going to continue their god-awful exterior design.

Haven't they expelled Bangle yet? While they have the chance kill the i-Drive too!

It looks like the MB S-Class will still rule. Heck, even the Lexus LS460L looks a lot better.

The 7 Series has never really beaten the S-Class, so that's a given.

Who cares what it looks like? To see them you'll have to go visit the dealer's repair shop anyway.

Let's face it, as long as Bangle is employed at BMW, then BMW automobiles will be butt-ugly. I could almost forgive BMW for this, but when you add the increasing bloat and complexity that has occurred in recent years, that's three strikes. Unless this 7-series is vastly improved in these fundamental areas, it's out.

The E65 body styling is the most successful BMW 7 series in its history. I do think its time to change the body styling because i had the opertuinity to test drive it along with the Lexus LS460 and the S550. The 7 series looked so "dated". I cant wait to see the next one.
