Spy Shots: Porshce Panamera with its rear door open
New spy pics of the Porsche Panamera have hit the web showing the upcoming four-door Porsche sedan with an open rear door. Why we still can’t get ourselves to like the Panamera is beyond our understanding but from these pics at least we can appreciate the car’s storage capacity.
Production of the Porsche Panamera will start in April 2009 at the company’s Leipzig plant with an estimated 20,000 units annually. Powertrain choices are said to include a base 3.6L V6 followed by a 405-hp 4.8L V8 and a 520-hp turbocharged variant.
Pricing is estimated to start at...

By the looks of this photo, let's hope to God it's proportions still resemble a sedan than a station-wagon.

Lets hope this is the most aggressive camo ever designed to hide the true beautiful sedan underneath; I think Porsche is stalling on a potential flop!

Let me get this straight. A hatchback that will cost $127k with a V6? Sounds like a winner...riiiight.

Good luck trying to steal buyers from the Aston Martin Rapide buyers when it is release.
This Porsche Panamera like very similar to a Dodge Magnum, LOL.... Porsche are NOT known for making Beautiful Exotic car, leave that to Lambo, Ferrari, and Aston Martin. They're known for making Top notch super sportcars.
If I have 200k + to buy a sportcar, it would be an Aston Martin Rapide, or a DBS.

Now That is one fine looking Funeral Coach. I've even forgotten that this car is supposed to come out.
Who will win the release race: Camaro, LF-A, or this Panamera?

Same engine as my Passat ! Only $87k more. Porsche got lucky with the Cayanne, right time right place and they made a killing which allowd them to basically take over VW/Audi.
They better be carefull because the tide has turned and one mistake can turn the whole thing on its head. This looks like that mistake to me.

Dear Porsche,
Just launch the frigging car and get it on sale already. We are tired of teaser, spy and camo pics of this sled.

you think Porsche coming out with a four door sedan is more radical than when they came out with a 5800lb SUV? Sorry, but I'd have to disagree with you.

MT does actually have a point w/ the ES - sometimes one would think a white CLS is pulling up in the evening - but no - it's a white '06 ES w/ the HID projectors.

It is just a 911 body with the engine in the front.
This car will fail and we all know it. The Rapide and Quattroporte will rule this segment. The Maserati will take the 110-140K market and the Rapide will take the 160-? market. At this rate the Panamera will just be a underperforming, overpriced, Porsche badge wearing piece of crap.

Months of head scratching later, I finally get it...
This is a lowered Cayenne with the rear sloped down into a hatch.
Wow! Who woulda thunk?
And why? Gonna take me a while to answer this one. December maybe...

The amount of R&D they have put into this car. This could be one of the handling sedans ever.
