Silver, surely you dont mean that. Nothing is that ugly, and this X6 is pretty dam good looking even with the camo on it.

Why wouldnt Silver mean that??? Pontiac came out with this look first (and it was horrible) and now BMW is doing it (a better job at it though)...

It looks like a 4 door version of the 1971 Ford Mustang Mach I Fastback (anybody see the movie Bullitt?).

With these looks, I think the MB RL350 is going to look like a smashing sales success next to the X6.

Who is the target buyer for one of these? Let's see - someone who travels alone and wants a heavy, hard to see-out-of truck, with limited cargo room and interior room because of the weird body shape, compromised on-road handling and limited off-road handling. Oh, I want a vehicle that gets terrible gas mileage too. Please put big summer run flat performance tires on mine too because I'd like to slide off the road when it snows.

Bingo, I'll buy an X6.

I just got another burst of inspiration, BMW could put some grey plastic lower body cladding on it and offer a special X6 "Aztec" package.

Yes, BMW and Pontiac, who seem to be stylistically separated at birth, are reintroducing the very popular Pontiac Aztec. Maybe BMW is secretly doing a joint venture with GM?

Eh, BMW have has the kidney grille since the 303 of the early 1930's. Congrats for one of the dumbest posts I've ever read on Autospies, and believe me there's been alot of them...

Oh, that was a joke? My appologies please. It difficult to get the tone when you're just reading it. :)

I'm seriously unimpressed with this...and nybimmer is right about it looking rather like a four-door mustang.

Here's hoping it drives better than it looks.

God,

Please let BMW release this car soon. I really need the money I'm going to make after I get done slaying it with the Q7 and upcoming Q5. I think I can safely start shopping for a larger house now. AMEN

This thing is the BMW equivilant to the Pontiac Aztec. Not even Bangle could make it look any worse. I think they should leave the camo stripes on it. It sort of reduces the hideousness of it.

Hey Porsche! I think you guys have some serious design competition over at BMW. You could both do the world a huge favor and crash the X6 into the Panamera over at the "ring" and claim they were both nothing but a huge joke. But then again, no one would believe you because your German. You have no sense of humor.

I see a jacked up 90's Fiat Brava...not a good thing.

Who would buy this? Young people who don't care for the practicalities will find it too expensive and too ugly, older people will find it too impractical and too ugly, and as it will probably cost more than the X5, it's too expensive!

And for something that seats 4, it's huge!

It is bigger than I thought. Hopefully bigger than the new x5.

IMO, the RX is a good looking car, but what does your comment have to do with this article? Just another hopeless Lexota fan with no unbiased opinion?

I think the X6 looks great, but it is for a niche market.

Kill him with his own bloody pencil/knife/charcoal stick/whatever car designers use.

No wait!
Kill him with his own creation!
Set the cruise on a 7 series, get out and watch it crush him into a wall....:D

BMW is trying to build something like Infiniti FX, its going to be bad for Infiniti, because BMW will take away some sales from Infiniti
