Very nice, as usual. This will still be on my list.

Nice...I'm all about the 911. A true classic, I don't care what model.

I never liked the Targa as I like a solid roof over my head. I don't even want a sunroof and get very annoyed when the sunroof is forced on me because of a package that contains other things I want or because the sunroof is standard. Things like sunroofs and stupid navigation systems should always be stand-alone optiions.

With Porsche, EVERYTHING is a stand-alone option, so I think you'd be happy there.

They don't, unfortunately, have side strips to protect from parking lot door dings.

I could be wrong but Porsche sells all US 911 Carrera's with sunroofs, whether it be Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, GT3, and Turbo. The RS is sold without on, which is a first I think for the 997 series in America. It has to do with Porsche not crash testing the solid roof in America and is the reason why even the 'basic' comes with a sunroof while other markets do not have it as an option. Weird but lame.

rephrase "It has to do with Porsche not crash testing the solid roof in America and is the reason why even the 'basic' comes with a sunroof while other markets it is purely an option whereas cars like the GT3 it isn't. Weird but lame."

"The 3.6 liter engine will get a power boost from 325 bhp to 360 bhp and the 3.8 liter engine from 355 bhp to arround 400 bhp."

very nice! that much of a bump in hp is exciting news!

just when bmw thought it finally might almost have a 911 killer in the new m3 csl in respects to track power and performance, porsche ups its game with similar hp to the m3 while being a few hundred pounds less in weight. over have a ton. the 997 also is well equipped while the lightest csl is bare bones.

the m division had been able to shave off around 400lbs in the last m3. better bmw can manage that or better along with having some basic equipment such as ac and stereo. love the e46 csl.
