I do hope that's the third row of this vehicle. There's more headroom in a CLS-Class.

Theres not enough room in the back for 3rd row seating.

+2 BoostDrop the Boost Up the Boost
Does the X6 really need 3rd row seating? Does a BMW SUV ever need 3rd row seating?

The new X5's 3rd row is clearly a running joke. They were just added so they can say that there is one. Whether anyone actually "seriously" plans to use it is another story.

One would think that the X6 would be larger and more roomy than the current X5...thus allowing for additional room for the 2nd & 3rd rows along with cargo space behind the 3rd row...ala M-B GL. The rumored X4 would seem to be the platform for a more car-like X-series SUV to disregard kids and focus on sport & activity.

LOL... The only place this car will be popular is in China! (Yes yes... I know, big no no making fun of chinese people, but i'm doing it anyway... Hate me if you want)

That seems very, very stupid! Who is going a car with no rear head room?! I had a hard time seeing the point of this car to begin with and now it makes even less sence!

What does the LX570 have to do with the fact that the BMW X6 is an ugly looking vehicle? I realize this is a spy photo, but if you think this is anything but ugly, I really believe you should question your own taste.

No Sevorbeupstry the April Fools Joke were the sketches of the X6 COncept that was to debut at the NYC Auto SHow as well as a VW Cross Phaeton. The joke was there was no X6 Concept....it was a "Con" for the April FOol's KJoke of the day. There were no real life pics with that April Fool's story. PLEASE research a little before you post things. Here is the link if you do not believe me....

To be fair, there is a lot of interior loose fabric, so there probably is more headroom. But that rear screen is miniature. How are you supposed to park it?

reply to this comment

+2 BoostDrop the Boost Up the Boost
Well... You know, the process of parking is very hard, some Lexus drivers even need a system to do it for them, but usually, you drive past the parking spot, select reverse and then you reverse in to the parking spot... If you live in Paris, you can also nudge the cars in front and behind you... :D

Its called Rear cameras! LOL, I don;t know really but I am sure they will have something like that available as an option (god knows nothing is standard worth a damn on a Bimmer, I know, I own one! And was optioned out my arse!)

The X5 has a backup camera available, so there's not a doubt in my mind that this won't have one.

Yes, I have said this in the past- it will compete directly with the Infiniti FX. Super-sporty, super-stylish "SUVs" that can't tow anything or go off-road... but they're not supposed to.

I'm blown away by the ignorance on this site...If you can't figure out or realize that the pictures shown here are spy photos & not the finished product, you shouldn't even come to this website.

Yes unfortunately there is a lot of ignorance here on this site....And people are so hell bent here to not see what the product is about. BMW states this will be a Sporty Sport Utility in the vein of the Inifini FX as stated eariler by S4cabriofoxone. Or like the Land Rover Range Rover Sport. This car will allow the driver a view of the road in a sporty styled package like that of an SUV, but more focused on handling and fun, not room for all the kids. If you want that, buy an X5, an excellent SUV.

I don't know.

Maybe there is a market for wealthy housewives desiring something faster, yet even more hideous than the Merc R class.

The X5 is nice enough. This is just a waste of resources. BMW, bring back the 8!

No "Will" I guarantee you not...as most of us German fans realize this is nothing but some camo doing exactly what it's meant to do.

Besides at least myself as a hard core Bimmer fan can come to the realization that BMW has a couple of ugly duckling's in their model line & admit it.

Lexus fans however refuse to admit the ES is ugly, the SC is ugly, the new LX is a major step backwards from a design point of view (not that it was anything amazing to begin with), & the LS's styling is far from anything special.

Not to mention the constant moronic comments made by Lexus fans in which have absolutely no fact to them. I mean as far as I'm concerned the Lexus fan boys are even worse than the Bimmer knuckleheads.

Are you kidding?

Yet none of you will even acknowledge the 5-Series was a mistake, the 7-Series was a mistake, the S-Class is bloated, the CL-Class is even more bloated, and the A5 is boring.

Double standard?

Yes.

So "david999" if you know they're spy photos, then how can you say it's ugly? If I was looking at a camoed Lexus I'd have no comment on the asthetics because it wouldn't look remotely close to the real thing.

When it comes to design I have no bias, I think the GS & IS both look better than their BMW counter-parts. You obviously don't share this trait as your calling something that might as well have a sheet over it ugly, because you know it's a BMW.

Again, based on the photos provided here, I think it looks ugly. Your assumption that I find all BMWs ugly based on my comments about this vehicle are not accurate. I find many of the other BMW models out there good looking.
