Spy shots: Lexus LF-A still testing at Nurburgring

The Lexus LF-A has been spotted in real-world testing on the Nurburgring, so it's well past the 'pure concept' stage, but its production future still remains murky at best.

The Japanese company's investment in the LF-A at the recent Milan Fashion Week, however, lends credence to the idea that it is in fact going to be built.

Toyota is known for nothing if not its corporate efficiency, and elaborate displays of cars that will never be built doesn't fit with the current austerity measures going on elsewhere within its structure.

hopefully it will not just be a great first attempt like the IS-F was but will give the Europeans a run for their money. It better with all the testing it has gone through. If Toyota fails at this it will be very disappointing. I still doubt it will be a class leader though with Toyota's recent record for their performance cars

The park bench on the back of that car would nice for picnics if they build it. It is hard to imagine that it would need that thing for aerodynamics unless they royally screwed up the aerodynamics of the body itself. We should cut them a bit of slack since the design is so old that the body was probably penned back when they actually used pens. There wasn't much computer modeling they could do back then.

Did you say the LF-A will destroy anything that's thrown at it? The back end looks like it already HAS been destroyed. The front end looks like a Hyundai. And worst of all -- it's a Lexus, the ultimate automobile poseur.

GT-R did.

It was real fun to read how it gutted supercars one by one and just few of them were able to outrun the almighty Nissan around the track, mostly by having much higher power to weight ratio.

Yeah, 2+2, relatively affordable Nissan with a big boot and a V6 under the bonnet, fully usable everyday keeping up with all carbon fiber überexpensive and useless Porsche Carrera GT with a V10.

That's how technological big foot crushes tacky hype.

I see no reason for the LF-A not repeating this feat. Clearly, Japanese know how to make hyped cars look embarassed.

One has to be... weird to think Lexus flagship: the LS600h was built for fuel economy.

No. I was built to be more quiet than the Rolls Royce Phantom.

1. Lexus LS 600h L
58,9 dB at 70 mph
66,6 dB at full throttle
38,3 dB when idling

2. Rolls Royce Phantom
59,0 dB at 70 mph
67,0 at full throttle
40,0 dB when idling

Fuel economy? Oh, with its 18.6 observed MPG for the LS600h L is still far above newest BMW 750i (observed 14.37 MPG). Both tests by Edmunds Insideline.

Are you really sure they do ?! Why do you comment this article about this Lexus then ? I think that many of you guy are very insecure about this Lexus LF-A and what it can do whit Super/premium brands from europe. That's why many of you guys always say negative things about Lexus on this site, why ? Don't you trust your european brand to 100% that it could beat Lexus !? I think your legs is shaking for this Lexus, and that you are nervous about what should come in the future and how the future should be on the race tracks.........
