Wow!

^Not exactly. If this continues, it means that the dealers will stop giving out Legacys. I have a friend looking at one, and he could get a fantastic deal, but if they start really selling them it won't be so easy.

I don't think so. They are still giving them out.
If they start selling above invoice, nobody will buy them. It's not like its very popular either, it's the (close) second slowest model.

I hear that Subarus wear tires funny, due to the 4 wheel drive.

Who needs 4 wheel drive gas guzzlers these days. 2 wheel drive is a better idea.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. You own a Mercury Grand Marquis.

"wear tires funny?"

I had some really crappy Yokohama all season all-terrain tires on my FXT. Lasted a meek 37,000 miles, their demise was attributed to running over a sharp piece of steel. As often as possible I had them boys lit up! I can only hope the Bridgestone G019s last that long.

I do think Subarus are well made though. they make nice wagons. It is probably the only Japaneese car I would even consider.

If Subaru built a Diesel Wagon, I would buy one, since the Big 3 have not done so as of yet.

So their marketing department seems to have convinced Americans that the little Forrester Wagon is an SUV.
Congrats to Suburu!
Must have hired the same guys that convinced America that Toyota offers better quality.

I'll bet most of these sales come at the cost of SUVs somewhere (and that's a good thing)

My 2005 is a wagon, clear as day. No roll-over warning. The 2009 does have a roll-over warning, hence it is a SUV.

We still use a subaru 2000 legacy outback as our family car in lebanon and it's doing great, considering the tough road conditions and that it's a mountain area.
