Suzuki SX4 to be powered by Peugeot diesel engine
Suzuki’s SX4 sport crossover range, which blends the character of a sporty compact with that of a lightweight SUV, is now being offered with a second diesel option. This is truly one of the most under-rated little cars on the market...

If I were to buy a small vehicle today, this would be it (or its sedan stable-mate).

Serious Value!

If you want a small car (although you obviously can't buy it in the US) the new Fiat 500 is fantastic. It's the best Fiat I've ever seen, the interior is brilliantly retro, with Bakelite effect radio and HVAC and a huge swathe of body coloured metal on the dash, plus little Italian flags...it's very cute and apparently handles brilliantly.

I previously lived (stationed @ Kadena AFB - USAF) in Japan for 10 years, where the 'Retro-Thing' was in full swing from way back in the early 1990's, so Heritage/retro design touches no longer impress...

Nissan Figaro? Now that was a retro car...

Cute little car.
This looks a lot like VW's upcoming Tiguan.
Is it similar in size too, or smaller?

For someone who needs a commuter, but needs to ocassionally get up that steep, snow-covered driveway, this looks like an interesting alternative to the Subaru Impreza.

Is it coming to North America?

This vehicle, sans the diesel, has long been available in the U.S.

There's even a handsome little sedan version.
