Yes, this would be a good thing! No more platform sharing!
Sounds too good to be true.

Arab owning Ford and Land Rover won't be a bad thing since their oil money buys them the world's most sought after things but having Brits own them would be even better since it is the place of origin.
Volvo should be brought home to Sweden. The motherland taking care of what the motherland created. Volvo has so much potential if put in the hands of the right people. Their latest S80 has good Scandinavian luxury and it works for Volvo. Imagine the possibilities. Ford is just a sinking ship and Volvo needs to jump to save themselves.
Jaguar, Land Rover, & Volvo the 3 European premium brands need to be sold. Otherwise Ford will eventually go under. Keeping the house brands such as Ford and Lincoln would be the only smart choice for the company. Mercury needs to be shut down there is no market for it. GM has too many brands to rival Mercury. Plus it gives Ford/Lincoln a good opportunity to up their design/quality. They obviously can't dominate a world market at least up their sales within the US.

what a shame Ford, look what a horrible name you have!
The same goes to the remaining "big".

A wealthy Swedish family?
Must be that IKEA Billionaire thats buying Volvo.
Glad to see Volvo back to its Country of origin.
They should also buy SAAB from GM while they're at it.

You think Sweden has only one wealthy Family ?
Ignorance is very prevalent in your area is it ?
The owner of Koenisegge is also Extremely Wealthy.
Not to mention all the other Shipbuilders in the Swedish / Norwegian area.

agreed. there are wealthy people in all parts of the world. just because you dont hear much about the Sweds doesn't mean they aren't any wealth in those parts of the world.
