One of the more intriguing projects being undertaken at one of the BIG German automakers is the all-new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The timing of its debut is interesting, given that the SLS AMG will be dunzo by the end of the summer.

So, is it an SLS AMG replacement? Is it a Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911 competitor? From what we understand, the answer is "yes" to both of those questions.

Released recently, Mercedes-Benz teased the all-new AMG GT in a video clip. Though we have no official knowledge as to what MB's up to, this is what I am hoping for:

1) Lightweight, smaller chassis than the outgoing SLS AMG
2) Force-fed four, six and eight-cylinder powertrains
3) Rear-wheel drive AND all-wheel drive variants

I know that's a bit pie-in-the-sky, but if you've been following the markets closely, you'd note that Jaguar and Porsche are rumored to be up to the same feats.

What do YOU want the all-new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT to have to take the crown in its respective segment?

If you watch the film closely you'll note it's design seems to be heavily influenced by the outgoing SLS AMG.

A first look at the passion exuded by the Mercedes-AMG GT.
