It's kind of funny to see that there's really been two waves of sport-utility vehicle adoption in the luxury auto space. Back when Mercedes-Benz first rolled out the M-Class in Jurassic Park, folks thought it was a tad silly. More luxury automakers followed thereafter and it's been very evident since that luxury SUV sales account for a tremendous amount of units sold at the end of the year.

If automakers didn't jump in on the first push, now seems to be the time. With manufacturers like Jaguar, Maserati and even Bentley pursuing jacked-up off-roaders, we're living in interesting times.

Though Bentley has already showcased a concept SUV, I think we can all agree it was a bit brute-ish and not particularly good looking. Now while we haven't seen the full monty here, I think the teaser shot at least provides SOME hope that Bentley can pull this one out.

After all, it appears to look very similar to the new Flying Spur with a slightly taller front grille.

Perhaps this will also appear at the New York Auto Show in several weeks? Seems like the New York Tri-State would be the perfect place to debut an all-new, six-figure piece of metal.
