THE 2008 C-CLASS UNCOVERED
Well, here they are, the first undisguised photos of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It looks as though these shots were taken in some sort of processing facility in Europe given the diesel engine badges, but we weren't given any info regarding their origin. Our C-Class sedan will likely get the 3.5-liter V6 used in most of Mercedes mid-level models along with the 7G-Tronic automatic. Expect to see the official unveil of this new sedan at the Geneva auto show early next year.

If thats the new C-Class, its really ugly. The proportions looks out of place. I think MBz will have trouble with this new C.

Its another cookie-cutter Mercedes design. In the 1980s when GM had lots of models, of different sizes and classes, that all looked alike the media panned the lack of design inspiration.

How come when Mercedes does it nobody notices the repetition and lack of inspiration?

The current C-Class is the second worst car in its class... only in front of the X-Type.

I think this looks nice, in spite of all of you. It looks like a mini S-Class, and it will most definitely garner more sales. The interior will probably look a lot like the S's, too.

The current C-Class isn't the worst car in its class. It's got qualities in some areas that exceed some aspects of the competition in my opinion.

I own a C230 (V6) and I love the car. It's sporty, handles very nicely, has a great interior (not class-leading, but great nonetheless) and is fun to drive. The 6-speed manual could be smoother, but overall I love the car.

And I picked it over the BMW 325i, Lexus IS250 and Saab 9-3 after driving them all. I've also driven the A4 with Quattro but I liked the C-Class better.

Mercedes what happened? They were on a roll for awhile there with their vehicle design on a few releases...The SL, CLK, E-Class, & CLS are all more than attractive cars to look at, but not so much the new S-Class, CL coupe, & now this C-Class!

The S-Class has a worse bangle butt than the 7-series, the CL coupe (like the S-Class) has an attractive front end but the rear windsheild & tailight design kills the car.

Now this new C-Class looks like a spruced up Chrysler Sebring! What next a 300C trying to pass as an E-Class?

Very smart fellow!. C class is exactly what it is.... a Sebring clone on a Caliber platform. BMW is rolling in the ailes. You can fool some of the people sometimes, but you can't fool everyone.
