TOYOTA TUNDRA 5.7-Liter V-8 Supercharger Rated at 504-Horsepower
Confirming earlier chatter seen on the forums at TundraSolutions.com, Toyota Racing Development has officially released the specs for its all-new 5.7-liter V-8 supercharger, which fits perfectly under the hood of the Toyota Tundra half-ton pickup.

The roots-type compressor boosts horsepower from 381 hp to 504 hp and torque from 401 lbs-ft. to 550 lbs-ft. Boost pressure is a heady 8.5 PSI.

The supercharger is compatible with 2007, 2008 and 2009 model year Toyota Tundras.

TRD superchargers installed by an authorized Toyota dealer carry a 12-month, unlimited mileage warranty, or the balance of Toyota’s new vehicle five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, whichever is greater. Installations not performed by an authorized Toyota dealer are covered by a 12-month, 12,000-mile parts warranty only.

MSRP for the supercharger kit is $5,875 (about $48 per additional horsepower). It includes two components: the main assembly kit and supercharger fit kit. Labor is a separate cost, subject to dealer pricing and rates.

What a ludicrous waste of money. You want this kind of power? Buy a diesel. Period.

Diesel's come with a HD transmission that's actually meant to handle those numbers along with 650 ft lbs of torque STOCK on any new Duramax, Powerstroke, or Cummins. Spend a few hundred on a chip and you'll be getting 100+ HP and torque with, believe it or not, IMPROVED gas mileage to boot.

Release your diesel Tundra Toyota!!

diesels also come with a stout differential rather than Toyota's aluminum one with the 7 inch ring gear
