As I have been keen to admit in the past, I am not a truck guy. It's not that I don't dig 'em, I just haven't educated myself to be an expert like, say, Agent 001 who has owned a bunch. That's partially because I don't ever foresee myself needing a pick-up truck.

Doesn't mean I can't bring you the latest intriguing news about them!

According to a patent filed in 2013, it turns out that Chrysler Group's RAM division may have something in the works for its future pick ups. Though it's been around for more than a year, it was just picked up by the folks at Allpar.

Being that I am not a truck user, I just don't see the value in this particular "innovation," however, I am sure there's plenty of you guys and gals out there that can educate my why a split-folding tailgate would be useful. Or, you can let me know it's pretty much not a big deal.

That said, we want to hear from YOU! Does RAM's all-new idea get you JUICED up or is it "meh?"
