There are always rivalries, whether it's sports, autos or even enemies from your childhood. Some things just won't get along. Take, for example, the muscle car sales war between the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. In 2010, the Camaro finally had what it took to unseat the Mustang.
This time though we're going to investigate this year's hot battle between the all-new Ford Explorer and the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both are impressive products but only one can take the crown.
In January, sales were just about neck-and-neck with Ford selling just over 7,300 Explorers and Chrysler selling over 7,600 Jeep Grand Cherokees.
Now in February, the sales pace changed a bit with Ford moving more than 9,650 Explorers out of showrooms while Jeep lagged behind pushing more than 8,650 Grand Cherokees.
With that said, we've got two questions:
1) WHY is the new Ford Explorer selling better than the new Jeep Grand Cherokee?
2) WHO will win the sales war between the Explorer and Grand Cherokee for 2011?
