Test AUDI A6 against Honda Legend (Acura RL)
The one is already legendary, the other one is it so far only the name after. For over 25 years AUDIvery successfully builds the all-wheel drive quattro. Honda manufactures its putting already for 19 years. With little success in Germany. No miracle with the strong competition of AUDI, BMW and Mercedes. Those are Honda ahead around lengths. Technically not necessarily, completely surely however with the license payments. Putting Honda sold only about 3500 since 1988 with us. Twice as AUDIsets many A6 off in one month. Now thus a new attempt to unlock to the Germans.

Don't you mean plain, and I think only the Acura is plain.

That's a horrific translation.

Both cars light my fire about as much as a wet dog.

I'd take the RL because the A6 is kind of basic in interior equipment.

As if the GS isn't bloated?

You asked for it.

The A6 did everything better (quicker)and had much better fuel economy, 20.2 mpg average for Audi and 18.5 for the Acura. The A6 looks very good, the HONDA Legend isn't that bad but as many have said a bit conservative.

That car is old now, but the A6 is a brand new design.

So the comparaison is not that fair, but I still think the RL is pretier on the inside, but unfortunately much uglier on the outside. The back I can live with, but the front reminds me of an old Camry.

These Acura designers suck! The orginal Legend was something else, the car was more beautiful than anything in its class at that time.

Comparing the A6 to the Acura RL is like comparing the MB E500 to the Chrsyler 300M

The RL is so plain. It looked nice when it came out, for about a day. I think my old Accord-based '95 TL had more charisma.

And that's also a quite horrible translation. Google should update their system.

A6, on the other hand, is classy/contemporary as usual.

Oh and, I had to laugh at this...

"That sets the yardsticks: Interior of the AUDI A6 3,2 FSI quattro."

LOL.

How can they compare a rebadged honda to an audi? No comparison what so ever. The audi is better in everything other than the price.

Why not compare a Honda to a VW?

It should be plain.I agree my mistake. As i am no English.
Clear now ???

BTW compare these two cars with the BMW 5 and Lexus GS.Or atleast with the Infiniti M.

And u will find out that how plain A6 and RL look in front of 5,GS and M.They are seriously in need of a replacement.

Uhh, the GS isn't exactly the class benchmark. I don't know why you brought that up, because the GS430 is the least-powerful car in its class. The RL, with its V6, outguns it. And so does the upcoming 535i.

And, in need of a redesign? You're telling me! The RL is looking dated, yes, but the A6 is really still quite nice in person. I'd probably pick up an E-Class over anything, myself, but the A6 wouldn't be far down on my list. And the A6 has only been out for three years. There's at least three more to go.

Acura needs to return the Legend name back to the RL.

The current RL is one of those cars that is very nice, but not nice enough for the marketplace.

The A6 is OK. I think the A4 or A8 look better. The Audi design language is a little weird on a car the size of the A6.

answer:

I agree about the A8, but I find that the Audi design appeals less and less as the size is reduced.
A8 is georgeous.
A6 looks good.
A4 is pretty good, but proportions are being compromised as the size shrinks.
A3 looks good only from certain angles.
And the A2 was so ugly it almost looked cute :)
