Too bad, Road And Track magazine has the RS4 at 4.3seconds. With the same 1/4 mile as this brand new M3.

Class of its own????

yeah that class would be a class BELOW the RS4, amazinBimmer.

amazinBimmer is FORGETTING the fact that the E46 M3 was 100 kg LIGHTER than this porky new M3 with V8.

Furthermore, amazinBimmer is IGNORING the fact that the Audi RS4 weighs LESS than the new BMW M3.

The new BMW M3 is cheaper than the Audi RS4 and most importantly it lost to the Audi RS4 based on the comparison done by Autoexpress Magazine.

BMW has lost its touch with this M3. They have even admitted this indirectly, when BMW leaked information that they will be releasing a hardcore CSL version of the M3 to try and win-back some of the harcore enthusiasts that worshipped the E46 model.

amazinBimmer we keep comparing these two cars for three main reasons.

1st. Both have 420 horsepower V8 engines

2nd. Both cost within 5K of eachother with the Audi being more expensive.

3rd. Both come from German premium manufacturers that are 1st and 3rd respectively in worldwide sales with Audi showing the largest percentage increase of the big German 3 from year to year while posting their 11th consecutive sales record.

Im not being with amazinBimmer on this one but the M3 is NOT below the RS4. I would love to see some track numbers from both. The M3 will be the winner.

Does the RS4 weigh less than the M3???

And what's wrong with them anouncing the M3 CSL? They need to have a porsche eater sooner or later you know.
