The 100 UGLIEST Cars Ever! Is YOURS On The List?
No Redeeming Features Whatsoever.

No they're not talking about me, they are referring to the Telegraph's latest list of the 100 ugliest cars of all time.

You'll definitely want to see all of them (if you have the stomach for it) and add the models they may have missed in our comments...

Bet the BMW 6-series and 7-Series owners won't be happy when they read the full list!

Yeah...and the Range Rover. It's looks are timeless, but if they supposedly "based" this chart off "normal" people's taste, then I guess it's pretty relevant.

But when you see the 6 series on there, you know that the people that made this chart wanted to act like professionals. I mean...Bangle's designs are controversial, but they're never that ugly.

Nevertheless, I still think that I know which cars are ugly and which ones aren't...and that this chart is stupid.

P.S.: The Edsel isn't ugly! It's simply a car that came out at the wrong time.

WorldofLuxuryWorldofLuxury - 8/31/2008 2:03:01 PM
-2 BoostDrop the Boost Up the Boost
Oh...and the Honda Element isn't ugly either. Even the Top Gear people found it good looking (funky was the word they used).

The Peugeot 308's big grill isn't that ugly...but even more, it probably wouldn't have existed if there were strict pedestrian crash ratings.

And the Chrysler 300C?!?!?!

Have you guys noticed that these are all cars that many people agree to be good lookin'...and so does the Top Gear crew? Maybe the people who made this list are jealous of Top Gear's popularity and influence. (I highly doubt that they took the public's opinion much into consideration.)

The best designs are always polarizing.

You either love 'em or you hate them. There is a visceral response to great design.

These types of articles are important because without them I wouldn't know what cars to think are ugly without thinking for myself and thinking for myself burns soooo many calories that sometimes I feel a little tingle and that's when I know to stop so I don't have an idea of my own 'cause that can be tiring and uncomfortable because thinking takes effort n-stuff.

+1 BoostDrop the Boost Up the Boost
The R-class is on there in the very end...IMO, it's not really ugly on the outside, but the inside is.

I think these people simply voted for old timers from a present-time point-of-view.

And taking the Evo for example. It might look like it's simply a car that needed so much downforce that the front wheels got pushed back, but it's only 'cause it needed space for the turbos and the AWD system. From most perspectives, it looks astounding.

The current EVO is a great looking vehicle IMO, and that's the one that did the article in for me. After seeing and reading the comments, I knew the commenter was full of it.

A lot of the cars on that list arent just "not bad" looking. Some of them are downright pretty. Read the comments on each picture and it's pretty safe to note the writer had some personal biases against each car other than their appearance.

This is a bs article. This writer put so many good looking cars that were newer on there! I wonder what kinda new cars look good to the writer and the people that suggested them. Where are the buicks?! Either this guy is brilliant and drives his own custom car that looks a million times better than a regular new car or he's just insane. What a waste of time article. I just wanna ask this guy what kind of car he drives?

The 6'er is actually a good looking car.
I've seen it in person and it really has a presence and character on the road.
it also features design elements that other car manufacturers have imitated.
so... i agree with Threepoint1415926 and asiancars233, this list is quite biased and will be different for every person on the planet.
there are some cars that are universally ugly, but to be honest, if i could afford it, i wouldn't be embarrassed to turn up in a 6 series, or many of the cars listed.

Some are good choices (sc, r-class), some had no business on there (Escalade, Boxter, Cayenne, Q7, 6 series, to name a few), while others that SHOULD have been there are missing (s/sl/slk/cls/c-classless, gt-r, g37, fj cruiser, maxima, r8, et al).

I find that I've not met many people who use the word "clown" to describe others. On this site the word seems to be overly prevalent. It's beginning to make me believe that there is one individual who unknowingly uses the word regularly in his everyday speech, thus failing to realize it's linking his multiple handles to a common speech pattern.

The Audi Q7 definitely deserved to be on that list. The mid-sized Q5 is more to my taste. However, I was never a fan of SUVs to begin with. Give me a high-performance AWD station wagon any day.

The original Bangle-designed BMW 7-series definitely deserved to be on that list. Enough said.

I don't understand why the Chrysler 300 would be on that list - big and menacing, but not ugly. However, it does look like a gangster's car.

On the other hand, the Rolls-Royce is also big and menacing, but it is ugly as well!
