I'll bet the farm that the most powerful V6 for this car will be the same 265hp engine that Audi Uses generation and generation.

No, I'm pretty sure it will be a 300hp supercharged 3.0L V6.

Are they using the supercharged V6 as a replacement of the 3.2L in the A4 too? I don't really see that happening if they're going with some sort of FI V6 for the S4.

I'm pretty sure they'l keep the 3.2 seeing as it fits nice in the range. Right between the 210hp 2.8 and the supposedly upcomong +- 300hp force fed V6. And competition for the 270hp Merc E350 and BMW 530i.

The US isn't the only country which gets the A6.

The supercharged V6 is slated to replace the 3.2 V6 in at least the quattro version. There may still be a 265hp V6 in the CVT Fronttrak version of the car.

Supercharged V6? Sounds like a Park Avenue Ultra to me. Why did Audi can its brilliant 2.7T?

As i said before, the US isn't the only country which gets the A6.
The 3.2 quattro is perfect competition to the E350 and 530i, there is no reason why it should be replaced.
The force fed V6 will be competition to the 535i.

"LexSucks"

I'm just curious to know why you choose a screen name that states Lexus Sucks?
Are you jealous of Lexus and their accomplishments?

I'm just curious to know why are there so many people on here have screen names that as if it's the most hated car on autospies but the most Love Luxury car in the US as if Lexus did nothing to nobody....Did you have a bad experience with Lexus?

5.2 V10 FSI, 420bhp (S6) ??

Why have a V10 with such little power?

The next-gen A6 needs to have some personality. It is a real fine vehicle but rather plain.

Remember the last generation Audi A6 4.2? It had flared fenders which really made that a sleeper vehicle. Sometimes small changes like that can really make a difference.

I own both a BMW and an Audi. If I have to recommend one, its BMW all the way. But I saw R8 on a bright day, the daylight LED headlight looks very very cool. If they bring those light (as bright as R8) to A4,A5 & A6 its going to leave competition in dust..nice job Audi

One answer for Audi = stop worrying about the A6 and get on with the new A8. The current A8 is ugly, overpriced and severely out-dated. Get the new A8 onto the drawing board as soon as possible and stop worrying about the pretty, bang for your buck priced and still very modern A6.

You must be blind. The A8 is an elegant looking car. Cannot say that for the 7-Series or S-Class with their over the top styling. Of course you're tag line cannot make you objective to begine with.

Wow, I've never seen such a stupid comment.

The A6 is the weakest link in Audi's lineup. The A8 is still one of the strongest.

The A8 is gorgeous, inside and out. Before the W221 S-Class came out it consistently topped comparison tests; now, it comes in second. It boasts class-leading dynamics and a near perfect combination of performance and top-notch luxury. The car exudes class. You're the only person I've ever seen say such things about the car. Ugly? That's your decision. Most would disagree. "Overpriced?" WTF? The 750i is $75K, base. The A8 is $70K but comes with a lot more features standard. "Out-dated?" Huh? The 7 Series is older, and you can tell.

If there's any brand that really needs to redesign its flagship, it is BMW and the 7 Series.
