The Cars of Paris: Look But Don’t Touch (Cause They Aren’t Coming Here)
I don’t know about you, but Agent 001 has an incredible gift at making people drool.  While Agent 009, 004 and myself hold down the fort 001 is in Paris documenting some incredible machinery and concepts.  Of course like everything else in life, they all can’t be winners, but this year Paris turned in more than its fair share of winners including a few true home runs.

We will deal with the Lamborghini Estoque and Lexus IS250C in another article.  For now lets talk about a few of the cars that would make the top of my list, and see how they compare to your personal favorites.

One of my personal favorites shown in Paris is this sedan from Peugeot.  This sleek sedan has some incredible lines, and since almost 20 years have passed since the last new Peugeot was sold in the US, exclusitivity is guaranteed with no worries about passing yourself on grocery runs.

Ferrari impressed with their new California.  This Italian car is destined to create long waiting lists at dealers around the world as those with the money clamor to own the latest and greatest Ferrari.

A car I would buy today if it was sold here, the Volkswagen Scirocco was shown again.  I really feel that Volkswagen is making a big mistake in not importing this car to the USA.  Yeah, you can argue exchange rates until you are blue in the face, the fact is if people are willing to spend $30k on a Mini Cooper, I firmly believe the availability of the Scirocco to US buyers would add one more name to the shopping list.

Renault is another nameplate we haven't seen in the USA for a long time, but this little hatchback would definitely bring buyers into the showroom.  Granted those buyers might be cross shopping the Subaru WRX STi or Lancer EVO X, but this little car certainly would grab peoples attention on the streets.  Of course it may cost a few pennies more than either the Subaru or Mistubishi, but that extra money buys a ride that very few others will have.

If you haven't had a chance yet to visit the gallery, now is the time to go check out the photos.  Agent 001 brings a full perspective of what is happening in Paris, and I promise you that you just might stumble on a picture or two of some of the very pretty ladies that go along with these cars.

And while you are checking out the gallery, why not share with us some of your favorites from the show.  Which one of these cars would you like to see in our showrooms - or better yet in your garage.

So which car do you think is the best new concept from Paris?

That Peugeot is absolutely gorgeous, hadn't seen it before. Looks semi-production ready.

There has been a mind-numbing amount of debuts at this show. Seems like I find a new concept or new car from Paris every day.

French cars have the most comfortable seats. However, I spoke with a former Peugeot dealer in Canada who said he will never ever sell French cars again because of the unbearable administrative headaches involved.

The French are well known for excellence in industrial design.

peugot REALLY got that design right. it's the best 4 door sports car design since...peugot's previous design.

that beastly renault clio looks pretty sharp, too.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE implement some sort of organization to your galleries. I would make a safe estimate that 95% of your readers would thank you. If you think it causes more page views because people have to look through every single picture to find anything you would be wrong, can I tell you how many times I have not looked in a gallery just because it was too much work to find anything. Seriously it's 2008. Throw some metadata on those pics. Geez.
