The Chevrolet Beat is being considered for the U.S market
General Motors has said today that they are considering bringing the Chevrolet Beat to the U.S as they are shifting their focus from trucks to fuel-efficient compact models. GM has said that if they do of course bring the Chevrolet Beat to the U.S it will give them a chance to compete with the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris. Read Article

Something is wrong with that article. The Aveo competes w/ the Fit and Yaris. The Beat is a whole class size smaller (smaller than a Mini Cooper actually). It will be the first car of its size in the US.

why need "considering"?

Just replace the Aveo with the Beat, keep the name of the concept, and simply make a four dour to stay competitive with the Yaris and the Fit. (think Euro Ford Focus/Fiesta...just w/o wasting money on an extra name)

People don't want smaller cars they want more efficient cars! PML is the answer with it's 640 bhp and way more efficient than the prius.PML could make a Hummer H-1 with the same efficiency as this little car, nothing cutting edge here.
