Regardless of what folks are saying -- and always will say about the LFA -- I still have a certain love for it. Yes, it's because Lexus did something so out of its element and it is essentially a big middle finger to all those who said Lexus couldn't.
Regardless of the lap times around the Nurburgring and how you can acquire a Nissan GT-R for a fraction of the price, the LFA is something that not many manufacturers can do. It's a soulful representation and the most significant engineering effort from Toyota Motor Sales.
I know because I've driven it, unlike the plethora of armchair wheelmen out there.
And when you're hitting the back straight and all you hear is that high-pitched V10 squeal, you'll know why it is comparable to a Ferrari 599 HGTE.
NOW! Lexus has been showing us some of the more exotic colors that its unique customers have optioned. To be honest, I haven't like any; however, this new one -- Black Amethyst -- is pretty epic. Though it's called black, it's hardly that. In the light there seems to be more of a purple glow to it that reminds of BMW's Techno Violet.
That said, out of the unique colors you've spotted the LFA in, is Black Amethyst the one and only for you?
