The Fascinating Features of Lexus LS-460
One of the major features that the 2007 Lexus LS-460 has to offer is the factory-installed 30GB hard drive disk that could be used not only for music but for navigation as well.

Although the 2007 Lexus LS-460 is not the only one to offer a hard disk with a great amount of space, it is important to note that the Mercedes Benz S-Class (the other vehicle that offers such a feature) is only able to use such a feature for navigation purposes.

Aside from the 30GB hard drive, the 2007 Lexus LS-460 also has cameras. These cameras are actually installed for the purposes of lane departure warning as well as park assist.

Are you sure Andrea? The COMMAND II system on the upcoming C-Class has a 4 Gigabyte hard drive for songs. Why wouldnt the S-class flagship?

fascinating. so fascinating.

oh and you can't even load songs from your ipod to the hard drive. you have to stuff every cd in and do the whole process manually.

Andreea15, angelique and moniqueqinn all seem to be the same person, because they continue to write incredibly stupid and outdated articles about things we already know, thinking they're breaking news.

What a piece of art I tell you, the beauty of the Lexus LS460 is just stunning and it only match it technology.

And for those of you German fanboys who about tell me to shut up already. Are you offended when I praise a Lexus car, "IS Your Way of Compensating Yourself Because you have a SMALL MOJO'?.

What about you S4, how do we know you're not Gogo6 or Gogo9? stop being so insecure. It just a matter of opinion, why do you get so offensive? If you don't like it, than don't read it.

How can you not acknowledge that this is an irrelevant, outdated article? We all know everything that's on the LS460!

And you continue to call it a "work of art." It's a very nice-looking sedan, but are you seeing the same thing as me? Because only cars like the Maserati Quattroporte or Aston Martin Rapide can be called "works of art..." this is just a big sedan with nice exhausts.

Well to my knowledge the S class has a PCMSI card slot in the front which allows massive amounts of storage for almost anything..

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class and CL-Class use the PCMCIA reader, located just below the in-dash six-disc changer.

The hard-drive based systems in vehicles like the Lexus LS460 pose a few of problems - time needed to rip CDs to the hard drive, transfer of songs from the HD when the vehicle is traded in, and limited bitrate options when ripping to the HD.

The PCMCIA slot eliminates those problems. I own a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with navigation. It has a PCMCIA Card slot. I copied 90 320kbps MP3 files into a 1GB Compact Flash slot in 10 minutes. All song information I specify shows on the nav screen. MUCH easier and far more enjoyable to use than plugging in my iPod. I easily listen to the songs in any car with the PC slot. The largest CompactFlash card I have found is 16GB.

PCMCIA adapters are sold for CompactFlash and SD cards. There are also Multi-Format adapters.

A few ehicles with the PCMCIA slot include the S-Class, CL-Class, Infiniti G35 w/Technology Package, CR-V w/nav, Civic EX/Si/Hybrid w/nav

However, I am curious to see how the USB system from BMW works. If I can plug in a portable hard drive loaded with music, that would be hot!
