Infiniti is really taking advantage of its Red Bull partnership, isn't it? Early last week it had Sebastian Vettel in New Jersey doing laps around the proposed circuit -- in an Infiniti G37 IPL Coupe -- for the second U. S.-based Formula One race and going on David Letterman to do a bit of promotion. Now word has hit the interwebz that Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber will be making appearances at Goodwood to promote Infiniti's latest wares, the Emerg-E and FX Vettel Edition.Isn't it funny how Infiniti can obscenely overprice the less-than-remarkable FX Vettel Edition and everyone drinks the Kool-Aid yet when Lexus builds the LFA all hell breaks loose?Anyway, look for the slightly modified Emerg-E to actually run and give it a go up the hill at the infamous Festival of Speed. Considering the Emerg-E is based on the Lotus Evora -- by the way, don't forget WE were the FIRST to call it -- it's an appropriate place to debut the new product. We're a little intrigued with how this puppy will sound and perform.Infiniti is bringing an updated version of its Emerg-E concept to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and will run it up the hill......Infiniti has made minor changes to the Goodwood Emerg-E. The basic overall shape remains, but the front grille has been simplified by the removal of the concept car’s horizontal bars. The wheels are a different design and add to the raised ride-height.2012 Geneva Motor Show Photo GalleryRead Article

...I hope Infinity doesnt become lost like Honda/Acura. They have to stay away from making those alien looking cars & suv's. God help'em in the design area. Other than that, they have a good future hopefully..— lexworld (View Profile)

I have to say that the recent Infinitis I have had the chance to pilot are very impressive products. As long as it keeps the pricing competitive and design in line, it should do OK. I think the brand itself is having a tough time distinguishing itself from the Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus mix -- those are the dominating brands at this stage. — Agent00R (View Profile)

Infiniti needs to stick with driver-oriented performance cars, not luxury boats. leave those to Lexus and Mercedes. They also need a reminder that sometimes in designing cars less is more. Leave the squiggly lines to Hyundai and make something classy.— vdiv (View Profile)
