The Hybrid Storm is Coming!
So-called experts are now predicting that the "Hybrid Storm" will arrive in 2008, or at the latest in early ‘09. While no one knows exactly what it will look like, many believe that it will grab the attention of every car magazine, automotive website, and media outlet around the country. Read Article

I think Honda is correct, not Toyota.
Hybrids only make sense for smaller vehicles.
Honda's IMA is less costly than Toyota's full hybrid,
Other than the Prius, Civis-H, which hybrid model is actually
selling well? Let the sales figures speak.

The sales figures have spoken, and you are wrong.

Camry hybrid sells 4-5000 units a month. Some 10-20% of Highlanders and RX's have also been sold as hybrids. Lexus is selling every LS600h it can make. About the ONLY hybrid that Toyota can't seem to sell is the GS450h, and that is because the GS line is not that popular to begin with, the GS350 is awesome in performance, economy and emissions, and some people wnating to upgrade from the 350 are waiting for the 460. All in all, Toyota is proving they can sell just about anything with a hybrid, because for anyone willing to pay the premium, they get something well worth it. (As Ive said before, if you consider it an option, I'd rather pay a few thou for a hybrid option than for leather, chrome whels or nav.)

And from what the reviews are reporting the Altima Hybrid is an even better effort than its Camry cousin.

Man! I bet Toyota is peeved!

Anyway, this whole 'Hybrid Storm' nonsense is just some journalist trying their best to coin yet another catch-phrase.

What reviews are you looking at? Considering Nissan has Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive in the Altima Hybrid, this comment is a little weird. The Camry Hybrid is selling better than the Altima Hybrid anyway...
