The newer minvans are beginning to look like they're adopting typical SUV fronts

My beef is the SOHC engine -- I want all engines to be DOHC units. If Honda were to develop a supercharged (not turbocharged) diesel for it, they just might get me to buy it. When one of my daughters and her ex had an Odyssey, I thought it was a pretty good vehicle.

King of the Minivans is like saying Queen of the Turds...

Anyway, Kia/Hyundai makes more compelling offings in this category, and the new (rather unattractive looking) Dodge/Chrysler efforts offer more innovation.

Daharder, that is one of the most ignorant comments I have seen. The minivan may not raise your pulse but as far as carrying a load of passengers and luggage all while being efficient, quiet, comfortable, and safe, it simply does not get any better. If every idiot out there who gets a huge V8 5500 lbs. suburban or Expedition EL to carry kids to soccer practice discovered the fiscal and environmental practicality of the minivan, we would be a lot better off. Unfortunatley its more socially acceptable to be in a 3ton truck with a covered bed and an extra seat, than a car based van that is quicker, more agile, more efficient, and cheaper. No wonder people hate americans

Well said. Just once I'd like to see something like an Odyssey Si...just to rub it in the faces of SUV fans.

Not only that- but the Odyssey is the BMW of minivans, truly. It has fluid steering and a smooth, responsive engine.

If I had to have one van...

Nah, I won't even go there. That would be scary.

But I definitely respect the Odyssey and give props to Honda.
