Well, the end of an automotive era is on its way out. The long-held tradition of Lincoln Town Cars providing service as limousines will be replaced by the new MKT.

Given that Lincoln hasn't been doing so hot weathering the economic downturn and is lacking unique products, Ford needs to maintain its stronghold with these fleet vehicles. You didn't think they'd turn their back on the market, especially now, did you?

With that said, I think I'll just leave it at that. I am relatively doubtful that anyone that isn't a limousine driver or livery cab owner is excited about the switch to the MKT.


For the past 30 years, Lincoln's panther platform-based Town Car has offered its services to a great number of limousine and chauffer operators throughout the country and abroad, but production of the current model will finally come to an end this fall leaving a gap in the company's range...
