The Auto Exotica 2008 part of the 9th Riga International Motor Show will be an official world’s premiere of a unique – the most extended, the most expensive limo – built on the basis of a classical Mini version. It might be quite a surprise, but several stages of its transformation were carried out in Riga.

The owner of this extraordinary mini limousine Regina Abdurazakova is a daughter of Kazakhstan’s oil tycoon and for the time being lives in Riga. She took a decision to invest a good amount of money in building a limousine – the one nobody else owns in this world – for her dogs and herself. As though her pets are small enough, she opted for Mini, the British cult and compact class car. To be more precise, as a donor for carrying out this singular project was chosen the 1986 Chelsea Edition Mini – one of 1500 cars ever built. That is more interesting is that the donor was found in a collection of a certain Mini fan.

The tricky task was assigned for Juhan Losop from Metal Hammer, who has already completed several unusual car and bike projects. He immediately cut the car in two and the new bodywork was ready soon enough. There is no information of limo’s exact length, however, it’s said that limo was extended at least by three metres. Afterwards the body was handed over to painters of the Studio Quasar, where it obtained its pinkish finish and some other highly artistic details. Its interior was developed here in Riga by the Winter-DeZign design studio. It was decorated with zillions of Swarovski crystals following the principle: more than on Paris Hilton’s bike (it wears mere hundred thousands of these sparkling stones). Limo’s pink and gold wire wheels were made by the US company Og Wheelz and decorated with huge crystals. The designer and author of an engine fitting limo’s pinkish image was the Glynn Jenkins. The side and rear windows were finished with a very special gold tint and, it was done in Latvia, too – by the well-known company Dartsfilmz.tv.

Last but not least – this terrific limo is waiting for custom-made, pink, inlaid parquet made in Moscow and it will be equipped with a theatre system including more than 100 G.G.I.C.E. monitors.

May be too controversially assessed, this is a unique and must-be-seen car, and you can do it during Auto Exotica 2008 of the 9th Riga International Motor Show to be held from 24 to 27 April in Kipsala. Better to see once than hear a hundred times!
