Agree with you that Ford is short-changing the North-American market by not bringing it here. Notwithstanding my displeasure, here is my free product tip for Ford: I saw a hot Mustang the other day and I really like the look of it although it does not fit my life-style and has no room in the back seat. However, I would like to see the return of the 2-door business coupe and I think the Mustang would be a neat car to use as the basic platform for same. All it needs is a higher roof and conversion of the rear seat area into a larger trunk. Which young salesman would object to a company car that looks like a Mustang but has the practicality of a 2-door sedan. The only drawback would be that one could only invite a single customer to lunch in a two-seater. But, to make up for the loss of some potential market I would add all the senior couples who would be happy to buy a car like that.

Ford USA and Ford Europe are totally different. we dont get models like you guys have in Europe because of currency manipulation, (USD is getting weaker than the stronger Euro, I.E. europes focus is about $19-24k USD which would be too expensive for marketed small economy car in the US. in tht price range, you can get an accord and its rivals)

I read that Ford US skipped over the 2nd gen Focus because the 1st gen was still too new in the US. The article stated that the US would get the 3rd gen Focus soon after Europe, as the 1st Gen is now overdue for a full redesign.

I'll believe that when I see one on US roads!

To me it's not even a matter of exporting the car to the US...it's more why can't they design and build a car like that here. The designers either have no imagination and education or the bean counters are more powerful than we think! It just irks me every time I see the Euro Focus and then think of the one were stuck with here in the US...it's like when your best friend has a hot girlfriend and yours is so so!

I think that America really needs some of Euro Ford's models, like Mondeo, Focus and S-Max

I must say that the new Mondeo looks pretty good, so does this Focus, If we like them here in Europe i dont get why you in the US dont get them. They also drives very good.
