The Top Ten Runabouts That Guys Like David Beckham Drive
Despite the almost limitless choice, the wealthy young men of the football world keep choosing the same cars: We round up the soccer elite's 10 most popular drives.
Second only perhaps to our great captains of industry, Premier League footballers are some of the most handsomely-remunerated people in the UK. Unlike those besuited behemoths of the boardroom however, soccer stars tend to have a great deal of leisure time in which they have little to do except spend their money on the most expensive things they can find. You can only live in one mock-tudor mansion though, which is why these élite sportsmen tend to focus much of their spending power on luxury motor vehicles. We’ve taken a look around the car parks at some of the top grounds and identified ten of the most popular choices.

Footballers are stupid people apparently. Not a single Toyota or Lexus on the list. How boring.

American athletes are the best anyway. We kick so much ass in world sports!
I want the US soccer team to play against England and kick them back to their little island!

David is clearly uneducated. Who would buy a lexus if they are worth millions? Lexus is for the cheep penny pinching class, thats why all of them are made of cheep materials and dull designs. Lexus uses pleather made perfume dried seats, and glossy nail polished Papermate designed burl walnut wood trim. Have you ever noticed how the smell of leather in a Lexus fades away within a few weeks? My Highschool graduation present was a new 2002 SC430 and I hated it.

They pay them attention because it gives them the perfect opportunity to bitch and whine about Lexus killing their dogs when they were children, and to keep away any negative attention that a Euro-brand may get. It also gives them an opportunity to feel a false sense of intelligence. It ALSO gives me an opportunity to laugh hysterically...

david 989, who are you? It seems like you are just a trash talker, whom are you kidding by suggesting that US soccer team can beat England in soccer. Have ever heard of Premier League, that happens in England, unlike the small major league soccer that takes place in US, the English Premier League is considered to be the most grueling of the European football tournaments and also it is run by FA, the founder of football(for you americans soccer) laws and considered to be the first organizing body to govern any type of professional soccer. Dude, England are the founders of soccer and they boast some of the fittest and most widely regarded football players in the world: Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Lampard, Gary Neville. US can't even dream of competing with the FA premiership, the tournament is England is much more expensive than major league and boasts some of world's best soccer clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Newcastle. And how with your unintelligent education do you call England a small island. Just for you information England until 1950 controlled over 1/4th of the world, and this started from around 1760. When England ruled the world, the United States was a puny little agricultural nation with rustic farmers. And you call England puny, Guess what Most of the modern advanced technologies were invented in the puny country called Great Britain(England), examples: internal combustion engine, steam engine, the structure of DNA, penicilin (first antibacterial), the concept of Blood groups, the first computer, the concept of world wide web(or www), The concept of neutrons, and many other countless ones. Even today Great Britain contributes almost 13% to the world's total amount of research citations, and they have some of the world's most famous universities; Among the best 200 universities of the world 30 belong to UK, and in terms of scientific research and inventions, only US are ahead of the UK with greater share of citations. England may be puny and small, but they contain one of the biggest center of intelligent community in the whole world, and please from next time don't even try to degrade the UK without prior knowledge of it's capabilities. And in the US much of the advanced research is conducted by foreign scientists, among them most being European. And the uneducated general americans feel proud of those inventions that are created from the efforts of European scientists, how pathetic, the Americans make the directors of the research group americans, but most of the research is actually carried out by europeans, so that every technological progress made in the US may seem like an all american effort. I mean if you have studied in University you will know that many of the prominent professors and research interns are actually Europeans. And now you keep on saying that Europeans are small and ungraceful. The thing is US has loads of money, and they are good in business, but in terms of intelligent inventions they a

GS300, I know you cared when you heard that Oprah liked the LS460. LOL.
But no, I don't care one bit. None of these cars are particularly surprising or interesting, except for the Ford Ka.

if i had dinero like Beckham and the likes, my only Lexus would PROBABLY be the LS600L (i'd probably sucker out and get a Maserati quattrocoupe) being thats its new/etc. even so i would drive Porsche's all day long, a GT2 as a daily isnt all to shabby.
now when the LF-A comes out, we'd have to maybe take a look at such a car.
however, i've been a Lexus owner since 1992...been thru, ES/GS/LS models. but with money comes oppurtunity. and oppurtunity speaks european high-end (porsche/ferrari/lambo/maserati)
but with my income and gas prices, my daily driver celica and g20t is fine and the '06 GS for the wknd cruiser.

in football (soccer), america has nothing compared to ENG or even some soccer driven thrid world countries. unfortunately its really the only actual "world" sport america can't win.
they win the "world series" (of america), nba champions of the world (america), super bowl champions (america)...when comes up to show what they have against the likes of ENG/Brazil/Italy...they get booted.
not ranting on american sports (i played football/basketball/soccer in high school), but dont call them "world _______" when its yur country alone competing for it.

R15mohd, don't waste your time. My Dad used to call them "blind patriots"; patriotic to the point of blindness, the reason a carrige horse wears blinders. They don't want to accept the reality that you are member of a world where you are just another competitor like any other, not the exception because you've given more charitably than any other country in the history of the world (the UK is # 2 by the way) , you've built more businesses overseas allowing more people in other countries to earn a decent lifestyle than any other country in the history of the world and you have successfully defended (at a great loss of human life) and re-built many weaker countries from tyrants and despots. Due to many of the great things we have done in the past, some (alot) Americans believe that earns us carte blanche to clain whatever we choose to claim in and about our endeavors. The common knowledge that most of the civilized world was very enamoured or envious of our lifestyle gave many people fat heads over here. In a very crude nutshell.

BentleyGT is the typically spoiled American non-enthusiast. You got a 2002 SC430 for high school, yet your ungrateful ass is complaining. Until you drive a true hoopty, you'd be more appreciative of what is given to you.
There is a old school song you might want to listen to. It's called "Be Thankful"
Yes, the SC430 is uninspiring ride, but the Bentley CGT is VW with a Bentley grill. As "Car" Magazine states: "Cheap for Bentley, expensive for VW".

Beckham has an undefineable talent. His teams just suceed with his presence. He is the set-up man and does it almost perfectly!
King James is a good athlete, but Kobe is better than he is...and if you want to talk about a all-around athlete, you dont pick basketball/football/soccer players. You would start in the track and field events...some the likes of Carl Lewis/etc.

Beckham did nothing to England this worldcup, nor did he do anything to real madrid. His absence is better than his presence. Lenon, his substitute plays 100000 times better than him and is more useful. Beckham = over hyped.

You scored in the last minute because of Dida's poor position in that ocassion. But if you were this great (3-2) why didnt you at least score 1 goal in san siro? p.s (3-0) :0
p.s Kaka > C.Ronaldo

giggs? Pirlo is a way better midfielder. He does everything better.
Kaka > C.ronaldo, thats why he scored 3 goals against man u, but C.ronaldo only scored 1 (lucky header)
So did you like the goal that Kaka scored when he passed 3 defenders and then the goalie by himself? :)
