This is the kind of mentality they had after World War I. And look what happened? WW2 was just around the corner...These car wars will never end.— Willis (View Profile)

let us just note that the IS won the excitement test, and Tiff cheated... :)but i think its been ran into the ground that the M3 will always be the king of the uber sedans. and the same conclusion we always come to is that lexus put in a nice effort.— LexusKindaGuy12 (View Profile)

lol...yeah...Tiff needed a few more doughnuts before he got to 132, but then again, this show isn't just a serious car show to go alongside Top Gear.Let's welcome his cheating, while I keep in mind that the IS F excited the girls more ;)— WorldofLuxury (View Profile)

well the Lexus could have excited the girls more because it was their first experience in a fast car and on the track being tossed all over the place. By the time they went in the M3 they were already used to it.— SHOWTIME (View Profile)

I thought this war was over months ago with nearly every automotive journalist ranking the M3 over the IS-F (and C63 for that matter). On a side note, saw my first IS-F (that bright blue) on the road in NYC's West Side Highway last. Looks pretty aggressive, but I still can't figure out why anyone would buy that over the M3 sedan.— HSCenterconsole (View Profile)

also b/c you can get one for 4-6k off which is still very hard to do for an m3 even though there are doens sitting on lots. my local guy has 10+ on the lot and won't come down more that 1500 on a 6sp sedan. ugh— 1234xyz (View Profile)

^@AgentOrangelol...a little sad, don't you think?I think that I would need a friend to keep my car balanced :D (Think of the efforts BMW gave to put balance into the equation...unless they calculated an average weight of their usual customers.)— WorldofLuxury (View Profile)

The Lexus offers more for less $$$. Most people can't even feel the extra 7% the BMW offers. Also after owning and E39 M3 and an Audi S4, I'm over the constant service appointments and issues that pop up. ALso, NO GAS GUZZLER!— sizquik (View Profile)

I love the M3, and I like allot the IS, but not that much the IS-F. This article is about the M3 and IS-F, but in the same category we have the RS4 and the C63, and at least for me. I would buy the C63 for comfort and strait line speed, the RS4 for quattro (1-3 (or 4) months in Romania it snows, and quattro is useful) and the M3 if I would drive at least 3-4 days an year on a racetrack. The IS-F I think it is a combination between the MB and BMW, and it looks great. Thad being said, if I had the money, I would buy all four cars. If I had to choose one, it would be the M3. — noname00 (View Profile)

They should have included C63 and RS4 as well.I suspect INFINITI will enter this game in 4 years. It's too easy to detune GT-R components for this lower performance segment, so why not?— dlin (View Profile)

A tenth of a second on one lap may not seem like much...but in a 10 lap race..that's a 1 sec difference. It also depends on how the car holds up under all that strees for 10 laps...the time difference may even be bigger. As far as which I would choose. It all boils down to preference...drive both cars and you will feel a difference in their performance...whichever provides the best experience then that's the one you buy I guess. For me a sports car has to have a "raw" quality to it and feel like a beast. The Lexus tones down that quality too much by being too luxury oriented. So the M3 would be my choice!— Need4Speed (View Profile)

are you smoking crack? Did you see how they "timed" the cars??? Eyeballing the starting mark can easily attribute to 1 second in error. Times recorded on thie video are for nothing but amusement.— SenSpeed (View Profile)
