I would def consider this if it makes it here. Given rising fuel cost. I just dont understand the pricing if I can get a V8 for close to that.

There are many FWD cars that handle better then similar powered RWD cars.

36 miles to gallon seems pretty good to me, Esp with 6.9 0-60. I think thats pretty respectable. If Gas keeps going up and the MKT down, this isnt a bad option. I personally like the car a lot. Then again I dont even know why I am answering AmazinBimmer...AKA CLOSE-MINDED DOUCHE

Between the price (holy nosebleed) and the performance claims. Is this for real?

They probably converted the price from the euro price to usd's. Which offcourse you can't just do.

That has to be the biggest FUD article i ever heard.

The 2.0T FSI engine has been out for while now and the epa ratings for the FWD maunal transmission and 200 SAE HP rating are

EPA Mileage Estimates: (City/Highway)
Manual: 20 mpg / 31 mpg
Range in Miles: (City/Highway)
Manual: 370 mi. / 573.5 mi.

Since the 2.0T FSI engine is used throughout the Audi range it can be looked up in any shopping website for its EPA estimate in different configurations. ( Qattro/ bigger turbo versions in the TT)

The article probably meant to say 26 mpg .. and scored a typo .. Shows you how many couch potatoes that know squat about cars post articles that they have no clue about.

this is the new 2.0TFSI, the A4 will come with 211 horsepower. the fuel economy they are quoting is the European fuel economy which is a different test

the new A4 with the new 2.0TFSI engine should get around 23/32. which would make it very fuel efficient compared to the competition.

The new 2.0 TFSI is only out in the TT-S in it's 272hp form. Which gets comperable economy figures as the 200hp TT.

I looked it up and whereas the 272hp TT-S with the new 2.0 TFSI is rated at a combined 29.5 MPG, the 200hp TT with the old 2.0 tfsi does only slightly better with 31MPG combined.

only the A4/A5 have Valvelift, they will get better fuel economy than the TT/S

Renault Megane R26 for starters.. and even the Mini!!!!
Coupled with an excellent chassis and LSD, FWD can be very good.
