The new C-Class: Which one?
The new C-Class has touched down, but which one? Which one being Classic, Elegance/Luxury and Avantgarde/Sport.

For those who don't want to be covered head to toe with buttons everywhere and want an original Mercedes Benz, the Classic is the way to go. Ofcourse maybe a sunroof or a good set of rims will be nice.

But, if you want a bit more, and maybe can handle being covered a bit more with buttons and features the Elegance/Luxury is your car. The chrome trim instantly tells you its an Elegance line model from Mercedes-Benz. It features more stuff, but a lot of it is from the Classic model and minorly changed (16in wheels to 17in wheels with same design etc.).

But the best is the Avantgarde/Sport model. The 3 pointed star on the 3 bar grille instantly makes it stand out from any C-Class car, or even any Mercedes-Benz. So does the sports suspension, the noise, the sports sterring wheel, AMG-like looks, aluminium trim and the wheels sometimes.

But the even bigger question is, is the new C-Class good enough to win the race of the A4/3-Series Luxury Car area - that most times is normally won by the 3-Series. Or is it the Audi A4 this year?

So, what do you think? Is the C-Class going to wipe the floor with them? Is it going to fail miserably? Or is Audi going to pull something out of their sleeve and shove it in Mercedes and BMW's face? Or is it just the 3-Series again. Discuss what you think.

The new C-Class: Which one?

'Sevorbeupstry', I would like to aware you that the Mercedes-Benz emblem does not consist of a "star", however the emblem originates from "The Silver Arrow".

No question the majority of C-Classes sold worldwide will be the V6 and diesel non-AMG variants. Of course it wont sell better than the Camry-derived Lexus in North America, but who cares?

The best sellers will be the I4s, not the V6.
180 kompressors everywhere.

Rupert you are right. However a V6 will be a best seller and only in the US, because the US doesn't get a I-4 version anymore. The lowest models always sell the best, i.e. 325i, 525i, C230, etc.

All I gotta say is C63 AMG! That's gonna be one hell of a fast little toy.

It's the same engine in different tune, but I was just giving an example. 200k will be one of if not the best seller, probs with the 220cdi in second place.
