We don't have any official word about the upcoming Audi RS6 from Audi. We do remember that the past RS6 was a straight-line monster (a bit slower than the E55 but faster than the M5).

The RS6 did not handle well at all due to its AWD and turbos.

The same characteristics appy to the previous European-only RS4.

If we take a look at the current RS4, we see that it is a MUCH improved car over the previous one and it is believed by some to be the new benchmark in class for performance (it's numbers don't lie and acceleration wise it is the benchmark) Let's not get into the RS4 vs. M3 nosense again though....

So if Audi follows tradition the way they did with the previous RS4 compared to the current one the upcoming RS6 should be a car without turbos and it should deliver mighty straight-line performance as well as some brilliant handling that would allow it to defeat the M5 around a track such as the Nurburgring.

Also PLEASE do not say that the RS6 is a car for those who can't afford the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 because the previous RS6 was MORE expensive than both the M5 and E55.

Logical this goes for you: The $66K Audi RS4 is obviously for those who can't afford the $55K BMW M3 even though the RS4 is MORE expensive.

Amazing use of logic on that post.....
