Say what you want about 'reliablity' and 'value.' The allure of a truly inspired vehicle is worth the extra price. How could you stay mad at your M6?

I'm surprised any BMW made the list, considering the Free Maintenance...

They're all cars worth well over $100K. There aren't many countries that make a lot of those... And of course, they're all special even among their prospective brands. Which considering depreciation, probably puts them in top ten positions as soon as they're driven off the lot.

The basis for the analysis couldn't be complete. Where are the Ferraris, Jags, Bentleys, RRs, Lamborghinis and others?

The text is even more misleading. It talks about less expensive cars sometimes being more expensive over time. There is no evidence provided to support that comment.

As usual, Forbes isn't exactly an automotive reference but for a very narrow band of consumers.

I think they're all gorgeous which would be great if they were built for placing in a museum... unfortunately they were built to drive and much of the enjoyment is removed after numerous trips to the dealer for ridiculous repairs.

Um, a Porsche is ugly. It is the same style it is getting old and boring. The A8 can't touch the LS which is the class leader anyway. If you buy German you have snob appeal issues.

A Porsche is not ugly.
Call it plain, out dated or whatever, but it is not ugly.

PS
If you buy Lexus you have financial issues.

Just keeping up appearances here, we might as well humour him, he has to go back to the asylum one day.

Lexus are worth every penny. Unlike German cars which are underpowered and overpriced. A Lexus IS350 can go head to head with a Porsche Bosxter S and beat the crap out of it.

"david989," what is your problem? Your comments do not cease to amaze me with their incredible short-sightedness! Their one-dimensional view! Their stupidity! Bah!

Yeah, I agree with Rupert. If you buy Japanese, you're a broke ass!

I've bought 4 new Lexii in 8 years and currently have an 06 GX470 and an 07 IS350. I like Lexus but I have to say I find david989's comments irritating and pointless. Please stop posting your inane comments in every article. Sometimes there are some good debates and excellent facts presented on Autospies but your posts keep getting in the way...

And by the way david the IS350 does not have as good handling or steering feel as a BMW 335i or (heaven forbid) a Boxster, both of which I have test driven many times - but there are other reasons some people might prefer the IS.
