American made (And I mean made not assembled) is become a synonym for crap.

Mercury Montego? WTF?
I agree with Servor completely, all these cars bar the Corvette and Saturn are crap (The STS ain't that great, still has traditional American garbage interior, with worse plastics than a 10 year old VW Golf)

And the Saturn is a European Opel, I don't understand...

I think the STS recently had a facelift so the interior is a bit better made I hope.

The new STS is an amazing car, the interior is much improved, same goes with the Lincoln MKX. As for the rest i completely agree with Sevor. I wasn't even aware that Mercury still existed. I never see them when i go down to the Sates, does anyone even by them?

How about the Saleen S7.

I once saw 3 of them coming out of the headquaters since it's located in Irvine the city I live in.

I'd have to put on my American hat for this one since I am a Canadian. I vote for The Hummer H1 which I predict will eventually return to the civilian market. My second pick is the Jeep Wrangler. Third and fourth are Cadillac and Chevrolet respectively.

The H1 will never return to market, who would buy it?

Rupert, never say never. There are plenty of people in Alberta and in western states like Montana who would buy the H1 not to mention commercial customers who need them with modifications for handling specific jobs. Certain moneyed people in the East with a need to project a certain image would also buy them. I would only consider driving one if they got rid of the steel doors and geared hubs.

Corvette. Case closed. The Corvette has and always will be Americas true car. The other 9 dont even belong on the same list with the vette.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the Lincoln MKX a tarted up Ford Edge which is based on the Mazda 6 platform? And aren't both the Malibu and the Saturn based on the Opel Vectra?
