For the first time, BMW outsold Mercedes-Benz in June. After worldwide sales of the two brands were totaled, BMW had sold 150,285 cars in June, while Mercedes sold only 117,200. The BMW sales were a 15.1% increase over the same period last year. Chinese sales, however, zoomed ahead by 63.2%

BMW better watch out for Hyundai. If people keep choosing the Sonata over the 5-Series, who knows where BMW will be in 3 years?

why is this surprising. you shoudl see their lead over audi and jag, lexus etc. their designs rock, resonate with the consumer, great drives, great quality, awesome reputation, great (the best) resale in its class, handling, 50/50 weight dist and alway s afront spot with the valet. Whats not to like?.
