Top Twenty selling vehicles in the U.S. through May
Don’t worry Ford - overall you’re still number one with the F-Series. Okay let’s get all this straight. Honda took the number one spot with the Civic in May 2008 with 53,299 while the Toyota Corolla and Camry followed with 52,826 and 51,291 respectively. The Ford F-Series came in behind the Honda Accord, which sold 49,098 units, selling a total 42,973 units and losing its number one spot for the first time since 1991.

Reuters has just released its list of Top 20 selling vehicles in the U.S. up until May 2008 and the Ford F-Series still leads the 2008 year with a total of 235,924 units, down 54,358 units from 2007. Toyota’s Camry holds the number 2 spot with a total of...

Why would anyone buy a NEW pickup or SUV? Resale has been DESTROYED. If you need one, just buy a 6-12 month old one from a private party for about 40% less than they paid.

What's sad is that folks believe that these are the 20 best vehicles.

Most folks are not car enthusiasts. To them a car is transportation, not for having fun.Saying that they still want luxury.Toyota has through careful marketing put the mindset into people that a Camry is like Zerox to copiers.Nothing wrong with a Camry but if you're a car enthusiast you know there is better out there.

despite all the criticisms, people LOVE appliance-level RELIABILITY. would you PUT UP with a freezer or fridge that needed repairs several times a year?

there is NO BETTER ultra reliable vehicle than the camry. i know MANY people with 20-yr old camrys STILL being used as daily drivers.

you don't like that simple REALITY, go cry in your milk.

how do you think i MISread it? i don't deny that MOST people are non-enthusiasts. i actually explained why MOST car buyers actually LOVE 'appliances!' toyotas and hondas being the MOST ROBUST vehicles under minimal/NO maintenance ownership, it is no wonder they sell so well.

why do so many 'enthusiasts' ASSUME people should PUT UP WITH high maintenance vehicles, just for a little fun?
