Toyota Camry vs Australian Toyota Aurion
When it comes down to all the bashing that goes on against Toyota, mostly is due to their styling, although they offer the reasonably priced car, and styling is an after thought for their Toyota line, I believe, it just astonished me when I discovered the Toyota Camry equivalent that is sold in Australia. Here are some photos comparing the Toyota Camry for the US market, and the Toyota Aurion for Australia. Europe has another version that is called the Toyota Avensis.

Lexus probably borrowed some styling cues off the rear end of this Aurion with the tail lights being noticeably similar with the LS. The lights are just flipped upside down on the Aurion where as the one on the LS looks more refined curved on the side where it is straight. At first sight that is what I noticed.

Anyways, the Aurion looks very sleek ! It is much more attractive than the Camry.

Lexus borrowed from its parent company?

Woah, and all this time we've been told Lexus copied BMW!

Now little bit of a guide to the T.Middle East's family car.

In Middle East both the cars are avaialable.Aurion is placed above Camry (Remind u that Middle East is no longer getting the V6 Camry, from now 2006-7 onwards Aurion is the V6 Camry).

Same as Australia i guess.

See, and this is how the Chinese version of the Camry looks too! I wish they'd really bring this over (though the ES may loose sales)

Yea the Camry's all around the world seem to be so much nicer than those sold here in North America. I forgot to mention, the Aurion Sport above puts out

335 HP, show me a Camry in North America that can do that.

I suppose Noth Americans have distinctive "taste" for cars.

Bring it to America and the anti-Toyota crowd would still find some reason to hate it.

I really like it! SO MUCH BETTER than our Camry!

Especially the concept version, with that bodykit.

But why do you show pictures of a Toyota Avensis in this article? It has nothing to do with this.

I'm starting to notice, more now than ever, that our Camry looks like an anteater.

If you have to ask, the article mentioned that in Europe, Camry is called Avensis and thats why there are pictures of the Avensis.
