Making sure everything works as it should is always a good reason to delay a product launch.

I hope that the new Prius stays close to the Concept X in design. I feel that it is a very clean, modern concept.

I heard they're not going to use the next-gen Lithium-ion batteries but stick with the old ones.

First Toyota releases Prius 1st in 1997. Then they release 2nd gen after 6 years in 2003.
And then...
" The world's biggest automaker has not officially announced the timing of the launch, but a consensus had built among industry watchers that the popular gasoline-electric car would be remodeled by late 2008."

Crap news. A bunch of ducks, identified as industry watchers are playing their birdies...

Good! Maybe they'll kill it altogether and focus on diesels.

well put EnnNorak! Why do we care about Hybrid, because the worlds largest car maker makes sure that we do. Go Bio Diesel
