Toyota has sent two memos to dealers informing them of Scion FR-S quality issues. Specifically:
1. Some Scion FR-S owners have reported moisture inside the rear tail light housings of their new cars.
2. Toyota dealers have found numerous examples of FR-S coupes with mis-aligned body panels. Some FR-S coupes have gaps between body panels that are as much as a quarter inch out of flush.
While these issues could be considered minor, the body panel fitment problems are embarrassing, not to mention that they cast doubt on the integrity of the Toyota-Subaru joint venture design process.
