I'll just comment on the positives and leave the negatives (one word-Corolla) to the usual suspects.

The oft predicted demise of Scion/Tundra/hybrids once again has been premature. xB and xD sales are up again. (This is what the fifth month increase in a row for the xB?) The Tundra was fully ramped up by last March and yet this March (in a housing slump where otehr trucks sales are sluggish) sales have improved. And the Prius continues its onslaught despite grumblings around here that people have lost interest due to a one month small drop in February. (And how 'bout those Camry and Highlander hybrid sales adding to the hybrid numbers. Impressive.) Other than the predictable Corolla nosedive due to the model changeover, I'd say folks in Toyota City are pretty happy today.

Cue the deboosting.....

The US Corolla's interior is quite - bad really, compared to the European Auris, which is space age.

I know.
I wasn't making a sly dig, Xero. All cars do the same thing - it's why the Q7 is down too. Stop being so paranoid.

Anyone know what Lexus is charging for financing in the U.S. now?

In Canada, it's 6.9% for 5yrs and 8.5% for 6yrs (Tundra included).

BMW is giving away used cars at 1% and new cars at 3.9%.

Seems to me we know which company is more vulnerable to economic downturns, meaning when parents cut-off their fob kids and bimbos need a new sugardaddy.

you must be a fob yourself then. it takes a fob to understand exactly how fobs live.

you must have been bitter when your fob parents denied you a bmw.

Nope, I'm clearly the anti-fob. I decided to purchase a vehilce myself that's a little bit more expensive than what fobs are used to having their parents to lease for them.

clearly huu76 is suffering from childhood trauma when his parents refused to "lease" him a bmw :P

your biaseness towards toyota shows it all. just because you claim to be anti-fob doesn't change your fobness LOL

the usual toyota bashers may gloat, but as the whole industry rides out this recession and lower sales overall, you can be sure toyota will have the LEAST decline in PROFITS.

aside from being the most efficient mfgr., they also have the BEST INVENTORY CONTROLS. rather than overproduce in a shrinking market and have to slash prices/boost incentives to clear clogged dealer lots, they'll ship a rate the market can absorb, and NOT HAVE TO GIVE cars away. (as bmw is, and huu points out!)

so even if absolute sales numbers decline, toyota will STILL be making more money than everyone else.
