Toyota inspired by Mazda for the next US Matrix model

So how many of you think that the Toyota Matrix is one of the ugliest things Toyota ever put into production? Well that’s all about to change.

Remember the Toyota Blade (pictured above) that launched in Japan in late December of 2006? Now Toyota is now getting ready to replace the Toyota Matrix in the US with a spin off of the Blade which is expected to be inspired by the Mazda3.

Toyota insiders say the Mazda3 is the hip cool car in the compact class and that is exactly where they want the next Matrix to go with the badge of the Toyota Blade. How man of you think the Blade is any better looking than the Matrix because we are iffy?

Maybe Toyota can make reliable cars but the Toyota, Lexus, and Scion families some of the ugliest and most boring cars I have ever seen. No wonder they need to look to the Ford family for ideas.

LOL hahaha Will that was a good one!Toyota has to kinda find an image which is away from boring. Ford is doing that with their 3 chrome bar grill. Mercedes, Bmw, Infiniti all are doing tat with some link in their design. All of the toyota cars have nothing linked as in a grill etc.

Hey .. Hey.. No taking a dump on the Toyota Matrix XRS .. I happen to own one :)
For the buck its the best FF (was th best before the new Civic Si) zippy car out there. I personally prefered the 2ZZ motor over anything Honda made ( Not counting the S2k motor or new 2liter motor in the Si).
Overall its been a great car. Steering is a bit assisted but the motor is a gem.

I like the Matrix design, was ahead of the game in styling (sleek and sporty) and design with a higher seating position in compacts while still maintaining utility and fuel economy.
