Toyota takes on Australia With The Aurion
Toyota Australia's new flagship sedan - the Aurion V6 - delivers on the unique demands of Australian large-car buyers. It has the most advanced and powerful engine ever offered in a Toyota vehicle in Australia - a new 3.5-litre Quad Cam V6. The engine develops 200kW of power at 6200rpm and 336Nm of torque at 4700rpm on regular unleaded petrol. It has ADR 81/01 fuel economy of just 9.9 litres of 95-octane unleaded fuel per 100km#. Power output rises to 204kW with 95-octane unleaded fuel. All grades of Aurion are fitted with a six-speed automatic sequential gearbox.

All Aurion grades are also equipped with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). Aurion is the only Australian-made big six to comply with Euro IV emissions. Aurion scores four stars on the Federal Government's Green Vehicle Guide - better than any of its six-cylinder rivals in the VFACTS large passenger category.

OMG, that's a MUCH nicer Camry, why don't we have that in the US??? Much better interior quality too. Any Toyota built in the US has bad quality, why????

We do, it's called the ES350.

The interior is exactly the same as the '07 Camry.

Exterior styling is much better, though.

Too bad they're not getting rid of the one here, though...

Still looks pretty bland but much nicer than our Camry. The interior looks cheaper than our Camry though.

I should try my hand more at automotive design. During my daily visit with the toilet, I squeezed out a hot, solid one and began to bare-handedly sculpt the hot-one into a rather nice mid-sized luxury sedan. I'm contemplating sending it off to the design studios of Ford or BMW.

The A3 has no relation to the Skoda Fabia.

And by the way- Skodas are quite nice. Have you ever been in a Skoda Superb? It's about as nice as its name suggests.

Much nicer than any Camry ahem ES350.

It has the same bodykit as a new Camry SE.

Look closely. They're very similar. Especially on the sides-- I'm pretty sure it just has different front and rear fasicas, but that's it.

It would be simple and cheap to add its more agressive front end to our Camry for a NASCAR edition. I'm sure Toyota will capitalize on its involvement in the series, what better way than making it stand out from garden-variety Camrys?
