John Howett, the President of Toyota Motorsport and Vice President of Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) has expressed a dislike for the new budget cap rules that have been proposed for the 2010 F1. This dislike has been pushed as far as threatening to withdraw Toyota’s participation from the F1 championship if the new rules are not removed.

Nine member teams of FOTA filed a block entry for the 2010 season, an act that will put the F1 sport in hot water. To allay the move Toyota has promised to join the sport until 2012 only if the budget cap rule is eliminated. The FIA, however, is not backing out from the implementation of the new rules. No one seems to know how this story will end just yet.
